GOLDEN, Colo.--()--On Tap Credit Union®, a leader in providing consumers in local Colorado communities with innovative financial solutions for nearly 70 years, is partnering with Habitat for Humanity in Colorado to renovate homes for families in need. As part of the Credit Union’s affordable housing initiative, the partnership will involve On Tap Credit Union employees volunteering their time and expertise to help restore homes alongside future homeowners. People helping people is at the forefront of the credit union movement and giving back time through volunteering as well as financial resources can impact the community.

As a socially responsible organization that is member owned, On Tap is committed to helping families achieve the dream of homeownership by creating a stronger, more vibrant community. In addition to offering financial assistance programs, the organization is partnering with Habitat for Humanity Colorado to make a meaningful difference in the lives of local families in need of safe and affordable housing.

"We are thrilled to partner with Habitat for Humanity to help repair homes for families in our community," said Daisy Perez, Mortgage Executive. "As a credit union, we are committed to improving the financial well-being of our members and the communities we serve. We believe that access to affordable housing is a critical component of financial stability, and we are proud to support this mission."

Affordable housing is a part of the credit union’s ongoing commitment to making a positive impact in the communities that the cooperative’s teams live and serve. Last year, On Tap funded $1.7 million in loans for affordable housing through a partnership with Impact Development Fund and Habitat for Humanity Colorado.

“I am very proud of the work our teams have done around affordable housing, taking a hard look at the products and services we offer as well as recognizing and resolving those gaps,” said CEO and President Tracie Wilcox. “I do believe Habitat for Humanity was a special way in which our teams could really give back and see the impact of their work in a meaningful way.”
