Sightline by Consilio eDiscovery Platform Achieves WCAG Web Accessibility Certification

Enhanced Accessibility Available for Individuals with Disabilities

WASHINGTON--()--Consilio, the global leader of legal technology solutions and enterprise legal services, announced today that it has achieved conformance with the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard for its leading eDiscovery platform, Sightline by Consilio. This certification demonstrates that the Company’s eDiscovery platform is accessible to a wide range of people with disabilities.

Consilio considers accessibility a vital element in today’s digital economy. Enhancements to the platform ensure Sightline by Consilio is perceivable, operable, and understandable by all users and enables workers with visual and physical disabilities to be more productive.

“Traditional eDiscovery software can be difficult to use if you are visually impaired or may not be able to use a mouse,” said Tom McCaffrey, VP Products. “Our goal was to give all Sightline by Consilio users a better product experience by making the platform more accessible while modernizing the interface for all users.”

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2 standard is developed in coordination with individuals and organizations around the world, with the goal of providing a single shared standard for web content accessibility that meets the needs of individuals, organizations, and governments internationally.

Key enhancements to Sightline by Consilio include:

  • Color and Contrast: Enhanced color contrast to improve legibility for persons with visual disabilities by making individual page elements stand out.
  • Design Elements: Added focus markers, enlarged fonts, and icons to make them easier to see and clearly indicate where action needs to be taken.
  • Keyboard Accessibility: Redesigned user experience so that content can be navigable using only the keyboard and full support for screen reader software.

“Cultivating a diverse and inclusive experience is a key focus of Consilio, not only in how we attract, retain, and develop our employee talent, but also in how we design and build our products,” says Maureen O’Neill, Diversity & Inclusion Officer. “We are thrilled about the improvements to Sightline by Consilio and will continue to focus on improving the user experience and innovating to make our platform accessible to all users.”
