PQ and National Silicates Announce Price Adjustment

MALVERN, Pa.--()--PQ and National Silicates today announced that their respective U.S. and Canada Silicates businesses are increasing prices effective May 5, 2022, or as contracts and agreements allow.

This price adjustment is driven by the significant increases in raw materials, energy, and transportation costs.

PQ and National Silicates will be increasing off-list pricing in the U.S. and Canada, respectively. The pricing increase ranges from 10-25% or $0.018 per pound (USD) for standard liquid sodium silicate grades, $0.130 per pound on anhydrous metasilicate, $0.065 per pound on pentahydrate metasilicate, and $0.220 per pound on potassium silicate.
