SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bailard, an independent, values-driven wealth and investment management firm in the San Francisco Bay Area, has expanded its expertise in serving ultra-high-net-worth clients and investors with 22-year wealth industry veteran, Janet Walker. Walker will be responsible for developing and implementing investment strategies for clients across Bailard, including multi-generational ultra-high-net-worth clients.

Prior to Bailard, Janet spent 22 years with Wells Fargo, most recently in the San Francisco office of Abbot Downing, Wells Fargo’s boutique ultra-high-net-worth firm. In this role, Janet was Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager where she managed over $5 billion in multi-asset class portfolios for ultra-high-net-worth clients.

She has bolstered those passions by giving back to her community through financial literacy and investment education with the Wall Street Wizards Academy and serving on the board of directors for the Piedmont East Bay Children’s choir. In addition, she has mentored and advised a globally diverse group of students from the University of the Pacific Eberhardt School of Business on equity investing and global markets.

Janet earned her bachelor’s degree in molecular biology with a minor in chemistry from San Francisco State University. She is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of San Francisco.
