LONG ISLAND, N.Y.--()--CS Hudson – a leading management firm supporting facilities maintenance, capital projects and immersive retail activations nationwide – is proud to announce its newest pop-up supporting unemployed and homeless veterans, Getting Heroes Hired, the latest iteration of its Pop-Ups for Good initiative launched in 2018. This philanthropic activation serves to leverage CS Hudson’s expertise and partnerships in experiential retail to provide veterans with the tools, resources and connections necessary to re-enter the workforce, readapt to civilian life and thrive.

“With a goal of offsetting the alarmingly prevalent issues of veteran homelessness, unemployment and suicide, Getting Heroes Hired was created as CS Hudson’s way of giving back those who have gone above and beyond to serve our country,” said Joseph Scaretta, founder and co-CEO of CS Hudson. “As heroes of our nation, it is our duty to give them a fighting chance at a good life and post-service success. Our hope is that this event will serve as a day of life-changing support for these highly valued members of society.”

Getting Heroes Hired will guide veterans through the hiring process by offering them high-impact job placement resources free of charge. The charitable event will offer powerful, interactive experiences including resume writing services, mock interviews, entrepreneurship tips & information and extreme makeovers. Moreover, each veteran who attends the educational event will receive a care package to support their continued progression through the job-seeking process.

This socially conscious endeavor is the creation of CS Hudson in partnership with Vaco—a leading talent and solutions firm; along with Medallion Retail—a boutique agency that plans, creates, produces and supports customized retail signage programs and displays; Brixmor Property Group—a real estate investment trust that owns and operates a high-quality, national portfolio of open-air shopping centers; as well as FASTSIGNS of Upper Saddle River—a local company that helps organizations solve marketing and visual communications challenges with signs, banners, graphics and more.

The event will take place in Long Island, New York on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Veterans interested in attending the event will be required to fill out a questionnaire to reserve an appointment in advance.

Getting Heroes Hired is one of many philanthropic initiatives from CS Hudson. Last year, Pop-Ups for Good helped homeless children in underserved communities experience a day of fun and free toys. This year, the CS Hudson team has more innovative, immersive retail experiences up their sleeve – events that not only bring value to vacant retail spaces, but goodwill to communities.
