Media Advisory: Give STL Day Set for Wednesday, May 1

Event benefits over 800 local nonprofits

ST. LOUIS--()--Once again St. Louisans can be philanthropists for a day, as the St. Louis Community Foundation presents Give STL Day, a day of online giving that benefits hundreds of local nonprofits. Since 2014, the event has raised more than $10 million for the region’s charitable organizations that do so much for our community. Last year alone, 24,000 individual donor gifts raised a total of $2.4 million for participating organizations.

When: midnight to midnight, Wednesday, May 1. To accommodate busy schedules, prescheduled donations are also being accepted on GiveSTLDay.org from now through Tuesday, April 30. All donations will be debited from donor accounts on Wednesday, May 1.

How: Jump online with a credit or debit card and visit GiveSTLDay.org. Take a gander at the more than 800 charitable organizations listed, and give $10 or more to one, two or many of the participating nonprofits.

Visuals: To track the day’s progress on Gives Day, 10 digital billboards in the area will be running real time tickers, similar to the one found on the GiveSTLDay.org home page. These billboards are visible from the following locations:

  • Manchester Road and Weidman Road (north side, facing east)
  • 1-70 and I-270 (south side, facing west)
  • I-270 and I-55 (north side, facing west)
  • I-55 and Weber Road (east side, facing south)
  • I-170 north of Olive (west side, facing north)
  • I-55/64 north of Market (west side, facing north)
  • Hwy. 40/61 east of Hwy K in St. Charles County (north side, facing west)
  • I-270 east of McDonnell Blvd. (north side, facing east)
