This is a great accomplishment for Pedersen, who triumphed over more than 1,000 applicants representing 40 countries worldwide.
In 2015, Pedersen embarked on a journey to solve a project conundrum: Despite nearly 50 years of method development, a recent study revealed that only 30% of all projects realized their goal or could be considered a success. Together with associates from Christina’s home country of Denmark, Pedersen set about designing a project management methodology that would deliver greater success. Based on three core elements – impact, flow, and leadership – the Half Double Methodology now has more than 1,800 followers, 250 certified practitioners, and over 50 successfully completed projects. The methodology is co-created with the best project management practitioners and has been closely followed by scientists to document results showing increased project success rates of over 70%.
The Crown Prince of Dubai began the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Award for Innovation in Project Management in 2015 to celebrate innovative culture in projects.
