SAN FRANCISCO--()--Tivic Health, a bioelectronic device company, will demonstrate ClearUP™ Sinus Pain Relief – the first bioelectronic treatment for sinus pain at CES 2019. ClearUP offers a new way to manage sinus pain for the 27 million Americans who suffer chronic sinusitis and the 17 million who suffer allergic rhinitis (hay fever).

Tivic Health will exhibit at CES Eureka Park, Sands Expo, booth 53355 and CES Unveiled, January 6.

ClearUP Sinus Pain Relief is not a pill, spray or flush - it’s a small, handheld device used exclusively on the outside of the sinus passages. As the user glides ClearUP along their cheek, nose and brow bone, it locates areas of skin where tiny electrical waveforms can pass easily. This low-current electrical stimulation, called microcurrent, stimulates the nerves under the skin to relieve sinus pain.

“ClearUP is a groundbreaking product for sinus pain that was successfully tested in a double-blind Randomized Control Trial at Stanford Sinus Center. After just one treatment, three out of four users achieved sinus pain relief,” said Jennifer Ernst, CEO, Tivic Health. “ClearUP is taking the power of bioelectronic technology and providing consumers with a simple, non-invasive option to relieve sinus pain.”

ClearUP Sinus Pain Relief is an investigational technology. Claims have not been evaluated by the FDA. ClearUP is not currently for sale in the U.S. FDA 510 clearance is pending.

About Bioelectronics
In September 2018, the World Economic Forum named bioelectronics or “electroceuticals” as one of the top 10 disruptive technologies poised to change medical treatment. A $6.2 billion industry, bioelectronic medicine is the convergence of biology and electrical engineering. Devices work by modulating the electrical activity in peripheral and central nerves in order to mitigate both symptoms and underlying causes of diseases.
