NEWARK, Del.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sallie Mae, the nation’s saving, planning, and paying for college company, will commemorate Veterans Day with a tribute to military servicemembers and a $50,000 contribution to Folds of Honor from The Sallie Mae Fund, the company’s charitable foundation. Since 2014, the company has provided more than $250,000 to Folds of Honor in order to provide scholarships for children and spouses of disabled and fallen military servicemembers.
The $50,000 grant from The Sallie Mae Fund will be presented during a ceremony at Sallie Mae’s headquarters in Newark, Delaware, on Nov. 12, where employees will gather to express their gratitude to veterans and current servicemembers. Delaware Military Academy senior MacKenzie Warrick will perform the National Anthem at the event. Allen Wronowski, Director, Folds of Honor, will also be present for the celebration.
