Eye Health America Completes Acquisition of Tampa Bay-Based Updegraff Laser Vision

The Company’s Sixth Acquisition of the Year Firmly Establishes Eye Health America’s Presence in the Southeast United States

ATLANTA--()--Eye Health America (EHA), a leader in eye care practice management, today announced its sixth acquisition of the year, adding Updegraff Laser Vision to its roster of prominent eye care member practices in the Southeast United States. The acquisition of the Tampa Bay-based practice continues to strengthen Eye Health America’s presence across the region and establishes a strategic partnership between Updegraff Laser Vision and EHA’s existing member practices, including The Eye Associates of Manatee.

Updegraff Laser Vision, based in Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg, Fla., is led by one of the most renowned LASIK and refractive surgeons in the world, Stephen Updegraff, M.D., FACS. Dr. Updegraff holds several U.S. LASIK patents and performed the first LASIK procedure in Asia (and the third in the US) in 1994. In addition to LASIK, the practice’s state-of-the-art facilities features modern technologies for cataract surgery, lens implants, dry eye syndrome, and ophthalmic plastic surgery.
