LEWISVILLE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Texas Virtual Academy at Hallsville (TVAH), a new full-time online public school, is now accepting enrollments for the 2018-19 school year. Made possible through a partnership between Hallsville Independent School District and K12 Inc., TVAH will serve students in grades 3-12 from across the state of Texas. As a public school option, TVAH is tuition-free for Texas residents.

Students who enroll at Texas Virtual Academy at Hallsville will receive a personalized education experience designed to allow students to find the learning style that works best for them. The school’s rigorous curriculum is delivered online through live online classes with Texas-certified teachers, who interact with students and families via email, phone, web-based classrooms and online discussions, ensuring that students and their families feel supported yet challenged in their education in a way that may be different for every student. In addition to the web-based lessons, students will use hands-on instructional materials that are shipped to their homes.
Students will study the core subjects of English/language arts, math, science, history, world languages, art and music, as well as numerous electives. College- or career-minded students can choose profession-focused courses in order to gain a competitive edge for the future, discover their path after high school or explore a possible college major. All courses are approved by the Texas Virtual School Network to meet Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and iNACOL standards for online courses.
