CURE® Magazine Welcomes Shira Zwebner as the First International Contributor for its Voices Program

The program also adds three national contributors

CRANBURY, N.J.--()--CURE® magazine, the nation’s leading consumer digital and print media enterprise focused on patients with cancer, welcomes Shira Zwebner as its first international contributor for the Voices program, announced Michael J. Hennessy Jr., president of MJH Associates, Inc., parent company for CURE® magazine.

“We are delighted to be joined by Shira Zwebner, who is not only a fantastic writer, but also understands the journey of patients with cancer,” said Michael J. Hennessy Jr. “With this new addition, we look forward to expanding our reach to readers and becoming an incomparable resource for cancer patients around the globe.”

Shira Zwebner, a native of New York City, lives with her three children and husband in Jerusalem, Israel. After getting diagnosed with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma in 2017, Zwebner turned to CURE® to educate herself about cancer diagnosis and the rest of her journey. As a communications consultant and a writer, Zwebner is the perfect fit for the international contributor role.

“The personal anecdotes and stories in Voices continue to help get me through some of the toughest moments during my cancer treatment,” said Zwebner. “Today, I'm honored to be able to share my journey on the Voices page, and hope my stories will be able to touch, impact or comfort someone else the way other contributors have comforted me."

In addition to Shira, CURE® magazine also expanded the Voices program with the addition of three national contributors.

  • Justin Birckbichler: a fourth-grade teacher, testicular cancer survivor and the founder of aBallsySenseofTumor.com
  • Heather Millar: a San Francisco-based breast cancer survivor, who has been a journalist for more than 25 years covering health care and science
  • Skyler Johnson: a resident in radiation oncology at Yale-New Haven Hospital, who writes about his experiences as a cancer caregiver, doctor and researcher
