Fresno NBC Affiliate, KSEE 24, to Produce California Gubernatorial Debate LIVE in the Central Valley, Broadcast Statewide

FRESNO, Calif.--()--The broadcast studios of Fresno’s NBC affiliate will be the home to a Sunday, April 29, 2018 gubernatorial debate from 5:30-7:00pm.

The debate, titled “Extraordinary People on Common Ground” is being produced by Marc Corsi, President/CEO of Communication & Events by Corsi (www.Corsi.com) in partnership with the Nexstar Broadcasting news team in Fresno. Planning is well underway and all candidates for California Governor have been invited. Virtually all have confirmed they will attend and participate. By rule, all candidates with 5% or more in the next Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studios (IGS) Poll will be allowed to participate in the April 29th debate.

Evan Onstot, KSEE24 anchor and host of ‘Sunday Morning Matters’ weekly political program will be the moderator; he has moderated several congressional, assembly & mayoral debates in the recent past as well as other town hall meetings. “It's an honor to moderate a debate of this importance,” Evan commented. “It also exemplifies KSEE24’s year-round political commitment to our viewers. I'm looking forward to giving the candidates the chance to separate themselves on issues that matter most.”

A panel of other journalists and shareholders from around the state will also provide input on questions & topics. Marc Corsi added, “We are indeed bringing Extraordinary People to Common Ground in Central California. I am thrilled to be bringing the candidates and business influencers together for this debate in the Central Valley.”

The debate broadcast will be available to television & radio stations across the state of California made possible by the California Broadcasters Association. Television stations in San Francisco (KRON) and Bakersfield (KGET) have committed to air the debate. This broadcast event will also be streamed LIVE on YouTube in a partnership with Google.
