Citi Wins Industry Awards for Innovation in Structured Products

NEW YORK--()--Citi was recognized as an industry leader in Structured Products by mtn-i, a London-based global provider of market information for global structured notes, private placements and MTN market coverage. The Bank received top honors in two categories: U.S. Investor Solutions and Latin America Investor Solutions.

The award for U.S. Investor Solutions was given to Citi for its successful Citi issued LIBOR ETNs. With the pace of rate hikes and expectations of better growth, higher inflation and an active Fed, Citi spotted an opportunity to make a big push through 2017.

“Our goal is to be the best financial services provider for our clients, and we are truly grateful to once again be recognized for our innovation and ability to offer highly competitive structured investments,” said Bouhari Arouna, Managing Director, Head of Structuring, Multi-Asset Group North America. “These accolades reflect the strength and depth of our business and we will continue to broaden our reach globally through technology and enhanced product offerings.”

The Bank also received the award for Latin America Investor Solutions for Mutual Fund-Linked Notes.

“This recognition reflects the strategic investments we’ve made in the region and underscores the importance of further innovation in the marketplace,” said Daniel Gutierrez, Director, Head of Structuring, Multi-Asset Group Latin America.

“The Latin American market continues to be an important growth area for our structured product business and supports the overall strength of our franchise,” Pablo Ortega, Vice President, Structured Sales Latin America.

The awards will be presented to Citi at the 12th Americas Structured Note Showcase & Awards on April 12th in Miami, Florida.
