Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery Hosts National Charitable Events to Benefit Local Firefighters

BROOMFIELD, Colo.--()--Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery, known for its award-winning craft beer and craveable food, announced today it will host a series of fundraisers to benefit local firefighters beginning March 6 and running through April 8, 2018. Rock Bottom restaurants across the country will host tapping parties and other events, with 25 cents per pint of Fire Chief Ale sales going back to local fire departments. Since the program’s inception in 1996, the company has raised more than $1.2 million in donations to local charities across the nation.

The charity event begins with a beer tapping of Fire Chief Ale (medium-bodied amber ale) at participating locations from March 6- April 8, 2018. For every pint of Fire Chief Ale sold, Rock Bottom will donate 25 cents to local firefighters and a charity of the fire departments choice in communities where the restaurants operate. Additionally, Rock Bottom will donate $1 for every bottle of Kendall-Jackson Chardonnay sold and $0.25 of every glass sold. These donations will benefit firefighters who lost their homes to the fires in Sonoma and Napa, Calif.

“For more than a quarter century, Rock Bottom has proudly offered its support to the selfless firefighters and other local heroes that keep this country’s communities safely running,” said Randy Brashier, Rock Bottom Brand Leader. “Thanks to our customers’ strong, consistent support of this popular event, we can once again commit to giving back to local charities with the help of special Fire Chief events.”

Rock Bottom’s local brewers will create their own take on the classic Fire Chief Ale recipe and each location will be outfitted with firefighter decor and memorabilia. The hand selected medium hops is typically an amber-colored beer and is brewed as a lager or ale, and can have a medium candy-like caramel malt sweetness.

Local Rock Bottom restaurants will also be hosting other events in light of the charity promotion. Events such as Chili Cook-Offs and Firefighter auctions will take place throughout the month to raise money and awareness for local heroes.
