Clearsurance Launches New Educational Content Platform for Consumers and Announces Strategic New Hires

Following its latest funding round, the crowdsourced review and rating community for insurance consumers is investing in top talent and educational content

NEWBURYPORT, Mass.--()--Clearsurance, the crowdsourced review, ratings and ranking community for insurance consumers, has begun to deploy funding resources by launching its robust educational content platform and filling key leadership roles in the company.

Since closing its Series A funding round in September, Clearsurance has significantly enhanced its insurance-focused community by expanding its educational and user-generated content to make it easier for consumers to search for and evaluate homeowners, renters, and car insurance options.

Clearsurance.com is uniquely positioned to help people achieve peace of mind by making smarter insurance decisions through a unique combination of shared experiences of other policyholders, crowdsourced and unbiased feedback, and editorial content.

“When expanding our community with the new site release, we focused on the information consumers need when evaluating their risk decisions,” said Michael Crowe, CEO, and Co-Founder of Clearsurance. “Improving the consumer experience is at the heart of our redesign efforts and we’ve already seen a big pick-up in user traffic and engagement.”

Additionally, Clearsurance has strategically expanded its leadership team with the promotion of Tim Hey to Vice President of Product Development and User Experience. He joined Clearsurance as a consultant just over a year ago and was instrumental in leading the implementation of the new website. In his new role, Hey will continue to define Clearsurance’s core product strategy and implement its technology roadmap for the best consumer experience possible. Prior to Clearsurance, he held various product marketing roles, in both the B2C and B2B spaces, most recently at Customerville in Seattle.

Suzanne Poirier will also be joining the team as Vice President of Engineering to help take Clearsurance’s technology to the next level and expand and lead the development team. Poirier brings deep expertise from her 20-year career as Director of Engineering at Skillsoft in Nashua, NH. Most recently, she was Director of Engineering at VitalSource in Boston.

“Tim and Suzanne fill critical roles for us and will be responsible for future enhancements to our community,” said Crowe. “I’m confident we’re building an A-plus team to move our company forward and deliver on our promise to consumers.”
