OKINAWA, Japan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--On Friday, December 1, 2017 at 0500am Master Sergeant Trujillo was headed to work to PT with his Marines. As he was driving on the expressway, he witnessed an accident. He could have ignored it and continued on his way to work, but he did not do that. Instead, he followed his heart and pulled over to assist. As he grabbed a local Japanese man to get him out of the way, he was hit by a car. He suffered a skull fracture, neck and spine injuries. The full extent of his injuries is unknown at this time. He has been placed in a Medically Induced Coma and transported from Okinawa, Japan to Naval Medical Center Balboa in San Diego, CA.
He put himself in harm’s way to save another. His selflessness and quick reaction showed his True Heroism. While his medical bills will be covered, a great debt will be incurred by his family. He is married to Maria Trujillo and is the father of three wonderful children: Anthony, Adam, and Amber.
A Go Fund a Hero page has been setup to assist the family and a College Scholarship Fund for the children. Any monetary assistance that can be provided is greatly appreciated. Please pray for Master Sergeant Hector Trujillo. God Bless.
