Brian Malloy and Brett Paddock Join the International Titanium Association Board of Directors

DENVER--()--International Titanium Association (ITA) announces incoming ITA Board of Directors Brian J. Malloy, vice president and chief commercial officer, Carpenter Technology Corp., and Brett S. Paddock, president and chief executive officer of T.I. - Titanium Industries, Inc. effective immediately.

Henry S. Seiner, president of the ITA board and the vice president, business strategy for Titanium Metals Corp. (TIMET), and Jennifer Simpson, executive director of the ITA, announced the appointments. Malloy and Paddock will be formally inducted into the ITA board at the TITANIUM USA 2017 conference and exhibition, which will be held October 8-11, 2017 in Hollywood, Florida at the Diplomat Resort & Spa.

Philadelphia-based Carpenter named Malloy to his current executive position in March 2016. He oversees all of the company’s commercial operations, which account for $2.2 billion in total annual net sales, including marketing, sales and customer service for Carpenter’s Specialty Alloys Operations and Performance Engineered Products business segments. He joined Carpenter in August 2015 as vice president, sales and customer service for the Specialty Alloys business unit, which typically accounts for nearly 80 percent of Carpenter’s total annual net sales.

Prior to joining Carpenter, Malloy worked for Global Precision Tubes where he was the senior vice president and chief strategy officer. He previously served as the vice president, commercial, for industrial gas turbines in Alcoa Inc.’s Power and Propulsion business group.

Malloy is a co-inventor with five patents, has an MBA degree from the College of William & Mary, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Paddock is returning to the ITA board following a one-year hiatus. From October 2006 to 2016 he held a number of officer positions, including secretary/treasurer, vice president, president, and past president. He is also the past chairman of ITA’s Grant Committee.

In 2001, Paddock became the leader of Titanium Industries, based in Rockaway, NJ, and during the last 16 years he has steered the company as a global supplier of specialty metals for the aerospace, industrial, medical and energy markets. The company sells a full line of titanium and specialty metal products from its 16 facilities throughout the world, and provides supply chain management and value-added services to a diverse global customer base.

His resume in the metals industry consists of executive positions in engineering consulting, fabrication, manufacturing, contracting, and sales. Paddock holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Structural Mechanics from Lehigh University, and is a licensed professional engineer.
