ISACA’s 2017 Asia-Pacific CACS Conference in Dubai Features Passionpreneur and Blockchain Expert Keynotes

IT audit, security and governance pros will gain insights on the “fifth wave” of technology

DUBAI--()--Bringing together IT audit, risk, cybersecurity and governance professionals from around the region, global IT association ISACA is hosting this year’s 2017 Asia-Pacific Computer Audit, Control and Security (CACS) Conference in Dubai, 29-30 November 2017. Leading the discussion on the fifth wave of technology and industry trends is Eddie Schwartz, executive vice president of DarkMatter.

With more than 25 years of experience in information security, Schwartz will discuss the fifth wave of technology as it relates to the cyber security industry. In addition to the fifth wave, Schwartz will consider the challenges from waves one through four, and reference what can be done to avoid those same mistakes in the fifth. He will also address:

  • Key unaddressed cyber risks
  • Cyber security and information resilience
  • Upcoming trends in cyber security

“The fifth wave is exciting as it brings a tsunami of technological advances,” said Schwartz. “Blockchain, artificial intelligence and quantum computing are on the brink of becoming more critical than what they already are, and in order for them to prosper securely, there needs to be an understanding of what went wrong in previous technology waves.”

Asia-Pacific CACS will conclude with remarks from Moustafa Hamwi, passionpreneuer, award-winning author, speaker and coach, recognized as the world’s leading expert on Passionate Leadership. Based on the works of Dr. Marshall Goldsmith, Moustafa will lead the closing keynote through a discussion on what it means to be a passionate leader.

“To be passionate is the only way to enjoy—when you bring that passion to every aspect of your life, including your career, then success is guaranteed,” said Moustafa. “Being a passionate leader is about having a mindset of driving people toward a bigger purpose beyond profit.”

Asia-Pacific CACS Conference also includes sessions on critical issues impacting IT assurance, security and governance professionals in the following tracks:

  • IS Audit & Assurance
  • Governance, Risk and Control
  • Security/Cyber Security
  • Compliance/Privacy

Attendees of this year’s conference will also have the opportunity to participate in pre-conference workshops that qualify for up to 7 continuing professional education (CPE) credit hours, allowing for a total of up to 23 CPEs by attending the entire conference.
