DataStax Previews DataStax Enterprise on Oracle Cloud at Oracle OpenWorld

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--()--DataStax, a leader in data management for cloud applications, will demonstrate new technology during Oracle OpenWorld. This will be the public unveiling of DataStax Enterprise (DSE) handling real-time, geographically distributed operational data management within the Oracle Data Hub managed service environment.

“Our demonstration of DSE is a big step forward for DataStax and Oracle customers, showing how massive amounts of operational data can be managed on the Oracle Cloud,” said Billy Bosworth, CEO at DataStax. “The world’s largest and most sophisticated enterprises rely on Oracle for all ranges of enterprise requirements today. And as cloud applications emerge with demanding real-time operational data requirements at scale, DSE is the ideal solution to help those enterprises meet the specific data platform requirements of the right-now economy. We are very excited about this demonstration and what it means for production cloud application environments.”

DataStax cofounder and chief technology officer Jonathan Ellis will run the DataStax demonstration on Wednesday, October 4 from 1:00 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. at the Marriott Marquis San Francisco, Golden Gate Level, Golden Gate C1/C2 at the breakout session entitled, “Always-on Data Management for Hyperscale, Real-Time Applications Using DataStax.”

While some customers may be interested in Apache Cassandra™ to run similar workloads on the Oracle Cloud, DSE can offer superior performance and the enterprise features required for modern cloud applications: industry-leading performance, robust graph, analytic, and search capabilities; and a consistent security model across all data services built into the DataStax offering.
