Mesa Airlines Reaches New Flight Attendant Collective Bargaining Agreement

PHOENIX--()--Mesa Airlines announced today that its flight attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA-CWA), ratified a new four-year collective bargaining agreement. The agreement will be implemented in coordination with the AFA-CWA.

“We are pleased to have reached an agreement with our flight attendants,” said Jonathan Ornstein, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Mesa Airlines. “I'd like to thank the AFA, our local Master Executive Council, and their negotiating team for always maintaining a productive and friendly environment throughout the process. Over the years, our flight attendants have always gone above and beyond, and I'd like to personally thank each one for their dedication and service,” said Ornstein.

Our flight attendant group has almost tripled in size over the last five years, and it has been my pleasure to get to know many of them personally.”

Over the last four years, Mesa has doubled in size and currently employs over 1,100 flight attendants. Throughout 2017, the Company is adding 12 new Embraer 175 aircraft, bringing the total number of aircraft operated as United Express to 80. Mesa also operates 64 aircraft under the American Eagle brand in partnership with American Airlines.
