NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Students in the after-school Art2STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) program at John Early Museum Magnet Middle Prep will tour TierPoint’s Nashville data center today. Facilitated by Adventure Science Center in Nashville, Art2STEM is an after-school outreach initiative that encourages girls with aptitude and interest in art to explore STEM careers, engaging them with local female professionals and interactive learning modules.
The TierPoint tour will give the 10- to 14-year old visitors an opportunity to see the inner workings of a data center, to learn about “the cloud,” and to better understand how their interest in design might be applied to IT careers.
Stephanie Curry, strategic product specialist at VMware, a TierPoint partner and global cloud infrastructure leader, will provide a brief presentation about her career path and the education required to succeed in STEM fields.
