NAPLES, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Gyroscope Capital Management’s Dividend Income Strategy has received a five-star Morningstar Rating™ as of June 30, 2017 based on risk-adjusted returns for the preceding five years. The Morningstar Rating™, commonly known as the star rating, is a measure of an investment product's risk-adjusted return relative to similar strategies. SMA managers are rated from one to five stars, with the best performers receiving five stars. The Dividend Income Strategy is in the Morningstar Option Writing Separate Account Manager Category, which includes 28 SMA managers rated overall.
Gyroscope’s Dividend Income Strategy was launched on Oct 1, 2007 and is coming up on its 10-year anniversary. This model separately managed account (SMA) strategy seeks to generate a 6% annualized income yield by investing in stocks that deliver above-market dividend yields and by selling covered calls in order to collect option premiums.
