Renowned oncology conference continues to grow, present new lectures, formats, and discussions on the future of cancer therapy

CRANBURY, N.J.--()--PER® Events, LLC, an affiliate of Physicians’ Education Resource®, LLC (PER®), the leading resource for oncology and hematology continuing medical education (CME), announces the 2017 agenda for the historic conference, including a keynote speech from NFL Hall of Fame quarterback and cancer survivor Jim Kelly, for the 35th Annual Chemotherapy Foundation Symposium (CFS®): Innovative Cancer Therapy for Tomorrow®, which will be held November 8-10 at the New York Marriot Marquis.

“This year, we continue to focus on the emerging trends in cancer treatment and management, including the latest targeted therapies and immunotherapy and their roles in managing different types of cancer. CFS® Chemotherapy Foundation Symposium: Innovative Cancer Therapy for Tomorrow® is a three-day educational event that brings renowned oncologists and their peers to share ideas and advance cancer treatment and management. This year’s agenda features several cancer specialists including Cathy Eng, MD, FACP, M.D., professor, department of gastrointestinal (GI) medical oncology, division of cancer medicine, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, who will discuss optimized sequencing beyond disease progression in Colorectal Cancer (CRC); Joshua Brody, M.D., director of Lymphoma Immunotherapy Program, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Hess Center for Science and Medicine, who will talk about the emerging therapies for non-Hodgkin lymphoma; Laurence J. Heifetz, MD, medical director at Gene Upshaw Memorial Tahoe Forest Cancer Center, who will discuss harnessing telehealth for state-of-the-art rural oncology; Bradley J. Monk, M.D., FACS,FACOG, professor of gynecologic oncology at Arizona Oncology (US Oncology/ Network), University of Arizona and Creighton University, who will offer his insight on role of immunotherapy in ovarian cancer; and Arjun Balar, M.D., assistant professor of medicine, director of Genitourinary Medical Oncology Program at NYU Perlmutter Cancer Center, who will discuss immunotherapy and novel combinations in bladder cancer.

In addition, Jim Kelly will present an engaging and influential keynote address on the second day of the symposium. The presenters will also host a Q&A with the panel and audience at the end of each segment. The audience will also have an opportunity to experience numerous Medical Crossfire® sessions focusing on myeloma, breast cancer, lung cancer, and GU malignancies.
