IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Toshiba’s Client Solutions Division and Toshiba Client Solutions Canada Ltd, divisions of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., today announced the dynaEdge with Intel Unite® solution. The combination of Toshiba’s powerful dynaEdge Mobile Mini PC and Intel Unite® software creates a productive and secure collaboration solution designed to modernize conference rooms, collaborative workspaces and classrooms.
“As a collaboration tool, the dynaEdge with Intel Unite solution can easily integrate into any office environment, but the solution might have its greatest impact in the education sector. The ability to securely share content and interact real-time within the same four walls or across campus in a sister classroom is immeasurable,” said Carl Pinto, vice president, marketing and product development, Client Solutions Division, Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. “The dynaEdge with Intel Unite solution is the perfect example of what we envisioned when we developed our mobile mini PC strategy. We viewed it as being a gateway technology serving as the backbone for a variety of different business applications.”
Implementing this collaboration solution is simple and only requires a wireless network, Intel Unite® software, dynaEdge Mobile Mini PC DE-100, a primary display, a presenter’s laptop and participant’s laptop loaded with Intel Unite® software. The result is faster, smarter and secure meetings without making a substantial investment to update existing technologies.
Faster Meeting Starts
Using an organization’s existing
wireless network eliminates the need for dongles or wires to present and
speeds the amount of time required to begin a meeting. Once a meeting is
set-up or scheduled, the presenter or participants only need to provide
a Pin number to join the meeting.
Smarter Meeting Rooms
Presenters can wirelessly share screen
content to the primary display as well as and to each participants’
displays. The dynaEdge with Intel Unite® solution can support up to four
presenters at the same time who can share their screens on the main
display simultaneously promoting true collaboration.
Easy collaboration
Via the Intel Unite® solution
participants can join a meeting from any location with a network
connection. Regardless of the location, interaction with the meeting
content is real-time and enhances overall collaboration. The dynaEdge
with Intel Unite® solution supports Skype® for Business and Zoom plug-in
to add video conferencing capabilities.
Easy Setup and Management
A streamlined software and
hardware configuration translates into a simple addition to any wired or
wireless network. Because of its compact form factor, the dynaEdge with
Intel Unite® solution is easy to tuck behind a TV, Monitor or under
tables. Remotely manage settings and configurations of the dynaEdge with
Intel Unite® solution with ease via the Intel Unite® web-based
Administration portal.
Easily create Ad hock Collaboration Workspaces
Unlike
competitive devices, the dynaEdge with Intel Unite® solution features a
replaceable Lithium-Ion battery to create a truly powerful collaboration
tool capable of moving throughout a campus to facilitate impromptu
meetings.
Measuring 6.5 x 3.3 x 0.8 inches thin and weighing 10.9 ounces1, Toshiba’s collaboration solution features a 6th Generation Intel® Core™ M Processor, Intel® HD Graphics, Windows 10 Pro, a variety of solid state drive options and up to 16GB of on-board LPDDR3 memory to rival the performance of a contemporary laptop.
