GTB, an industry-leading advertising and communications agency, today announced that Kevin Karolak and Melissa Weiland have joined the global firm as Chief Marketing Officer and Managing Partner, US Media Director, respectively. They start in the new roles effectively immediately.

Karolak brings to the firm more than 17 years of experience in Integrated Communications, where he worked with automakers and professional services companies to develop and execute global brand revitalization efforts and corporate communications strategies across traditional and digital platforms. Most recently, he served as Global Business Director and General Manager, Americas for PRISM, a J. Walter Thompson Company working with clients Ford Motor Company, Mazda, Aston Martin, Infiniti, and J.P. Morgan Private Bank.

Weiland joins the firm with more than 20 years of experience in the areas of integrated strategic communications and marketing operations. Previously, Weiland worked at Carat as North American Communications Lead where she led the Buick and GMC businesses and oversaw an integrated team across the agency. Weiland also spent more than a decade at Starcom where she led the dedicated Chevrolet team and developed a progressive and insight-driven approach to communications planning.

They will be based at GTB’s global headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan.
