Engility grows presence in Augusta

New office expansion enables company to bring key technical solutions to Georgia’s Cyber hub

CHANTILLY, Va.--()--Engility opened a new facility in Augusta, Georgia to accommodate the growth of the nation’s Cyber capability and leverage the area’s diverse and highly skilled talent pool. The office will serve as an expanded base of operations to support customers at near-by Fort Gordon.

“Not only will this office allow for better and more agile customer collaboration, the new location places us at the ground floor in a premier location for cyber leadership,” said Scott Whatmough, Senior Vice President for Engility’s Defense Group. “We recently announced the formal establishment of a Cyber ENnovation Center within Engility, and a physical presence within Augusta allows us to more effectively adopt the latest technologies and solutions and apply them to customer missions anywhere in the world.”

The facility will be home to Engility’s area program management staff that helps coordinate the efforts of the nearly 100 employees the company has in the state of Georgia. It also helps access some of the world’s best and brightest, highly-skilled technical talent. Georgia and the DOD are investing in Augusta as the new Cyber hub. Georgia is constructing a $50 million cyber facility, and the DOD is investing $2.1 billion in a new cyber headquarters in the area. Augusta is home to the United States Army’s Cyber Command (Fort Gordon), the US Army Cyber Center of Excellence and the National Security Agency-Georgia.
