ROME 250 extends the ROME portfolio with a smaller platform and lower price entry point that will enable telecommunication and data center operators to migrate to software defined networking (SDN) completely down to the physical connectivity layer.
Riding on the success of ROME 500 and the scalability of ROME fabric, ROME 250 offers a new level of granularity that is fully compatible in network architecture and software interfaces. As data intensity grows towards the network edge, ROME 250 offers significant CAPEX savings with 100’s and 1,000’s of network cross connect points, while reducing the OPEX to near zero.
