BOISE, Idaho--(BUSINESS WIRE)--More than 100 kids at the Boys & Girls Club at Hawthorne Elementary took part in a special event today, each receiving their own professional bike helmet donated by UnitedHealthcare.
UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling team members Carlos Alzate, Greg Henderson, Tanner Putt and Daniel Eaton, who are participating in the Downtown Boise “Twilight Criterium” cycling race, helped lead bike/helmet safety lessons and provided stretching tips to encourage kids to be safe, stay active and participate in events like the Kids' Ride at the annual event. UnitedHealthcare’s mascot Dr. Health E. Hound was on hand to help kids decorate their helmets with decals and hand out healthy snacks.
