Strayer University Named a 2017 Top Workplace by The Washington Post

WASHINGTON--()--Strayer University has been awarded a 2017 Top Workplaces honor by The Washington Post. Strayer was ranked among the top 20 in the category of largest organizations with 500 employees or more in the Washington, D.C. area. The Top Workplaces are determined based on employee feedback.

“At Strayer University, our strength is our people – both our students and our team members,” said President Brian Jones. “2017 marks the 125th anniversary of the founding of Strayer University in 1892. Our ability to adapt and innovate over more than a century of preparing working adult students for the demands of a rapidly evolving economy would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our remarkably talented and diverse staff.”

The Washington Post Top Workplaces list is based on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by WorkplaceDynamics, LLC, a leading research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement. Several aspects of workplace culture were measured, including Alignment, Execution, and Connection, just to name a few.

“As a mission-driven, leading educator of working adults, Strayer University is unique among the 2017 list of Top Workplaces. We are grateful for this recognition of our people and our culture,” said Darlene Bell-Alexander, Vice President of Human Resources. “It reflects our pride in what we stand for, and the important work we do."
