CHICAGO--()--With its workforce nearing 9,000 Team Members across five states, Rush Street Gaming announced today that Wanda Torres has joined the company as Vice President, People & Culture. Torres most recently served as Director, Global HR Business Partner for QVC Inc., one of the world’s leading video and ecommerce retailers. Among her responsibilities at QVC, Torres led talent development strategies and changed management programs and employee integration initiatives.

Prior to QVC, Torres served as Senior Regional Human Resources Leader for Amazon.com Inc., the world’s largest online retailer. While at Amazon, Torres directed employee relations, retention and reward programs, process improvements and numerous key HR projects, including global expansion of Amazon’s Customer Service Virtual Contact Center. Earlier in her career, Torres was Director of Human Resources for fashion distributor Luxottica Group and Regional Human Resources Manager for Office Depot, Inc.

Notably, Torres is also a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, with eight years of service to our country. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from Nichols College in Dudley, Massachusetts, and an advanced certificate in Strategic Human Resources Management from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

Torres will be based out of Rush Street Gaming’s headquarters in Chicago, and her appointment is effective immediately, pending regulatory approval.
