NEW YORK & NEW ORLEANS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Seaport Global Securities LLC today announced that Kurt Oehlberg has joined its investment banking department as Managing Director, Mining and Metals, and Chad Jennings has signed on as Vice President, Mining and Metals.
Both executives will initially concentrate on the coal sector and opportunistically expand into other mining and metals sectors. Their appointments follow the addition last year of coal sector research analyst Mark Levin, who joined Seaport Global from BB&T.

Oehlberg’s career prior to joining Seaport Global includes more than thirty years of experience with firms including Rothschild, Inc., Chase Securities, and FBR Capital Markets. He has advised on more than 50 separate coal and mining M&A transactions.
Jennings brings to Seaport Global more than a decade of investment banking and corporate business development experience related to energy and natural resources. He has held positions with Contura Energy, Alpha Natural Resources, and FBR Capital Markets.
