PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--University of Phoenix® College of Health Professions, in collaboration with Kindred Healthcare, today announced the recipients of the Kindred Healthcare Scholarship program. Through this program, Kindred employees will have the opportunity to pursue either a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree at University of Phoenix.
“Healthcare professionals understand the importance of providing quality care, and it is our responsibility to equip them with the tools they need to be successful,” said Doris Savron, executive dean for the College of Health Professions at University of Phoenix. “We value our partnership with Kindred Healthcare and are honored to give the gift of education to these exceptional individuals who have gone above and beyond in providing personalized, empathetic care to the patients they serve.”
Scholarship recipients include:
- Lori Baker, a manager of clinical practice and quality assurance through Kindred’s Gentiva Home Health in Salvisa, Kentucky, who plans to pursue her RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Kelly Boren, an executive director and registered nurse working with Kindred Hospice in Wichita Falls, Texas, who plans to use the scholarship to pursue her RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Haidee Terry, a clinical analyst and education coordinator with Kindred Hospital Rancho in Rancho Cucamonga in California, who plans to pursue her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with the scholarship opportunity.
- Erin Hetrick, a manager of clinical practice for Kindred Home Health in Peoria, Arizona, who intends to pursue her RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- James McManus, who resides in West Orange, Texas, and is a registered nurse at Kindred Hospice and plans to pursue his RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
