FREMONT, Calif.--()--RackWare, a key enabler for the enterprise’s move to cloud adoption, today announced that CEO Sash Sunkara has been named a Bronze Stevie® Award winner in the Woman of the Year – Business Products Industries category in the 15th Annual American Business Awards.

The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.

“It is an honor to be recognized as a winner in the Woman of the Year – Business Products Industries category,” said Sunkara. “As the CEO and co-founder of RackWare, I strive to push the boundaries of what is possible in IT automation and cloud intelligence. My vision is to enable global enterprises to achieve true data center cloud adoption with use cases such as disaster recovery, backup, scaling and migration. I am also passionate about watching people grow and blossom at RackWare, and encouraging young women around the world to pursue careers in science and technology.”

Under Sunkara’s leadership, RackWare has emerged as a recognized leader in cloud management and cloud disaster recovery. RackWare sells to Fortune 500 companies, and its product suite is critical to the smooth functioning of these businesses. RackWare has succeeded in the marketplace by supporting a broad set of systems and platforms. In fact, RackWare supports about 95 percent of a typical customer environment. That is a huge point of differentiation for customers who value ease of use and want to avoid the headaches and expense of additional integration work.

“Each year the judges find the quality and variety of the nominations to be greater than the year before. The 2017 competition was intense and every organization that has won should be proud,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards.

More than 3,600 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories. More than 190 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners.
