SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ernst & Young LLP today announced the official relocation of its Salt Lake City office into a new, more tech-enabled, millennial-friendly space at Gateway Tower West building at 15 West Temple. The new Salt Lake City office workspace redesign provides a range of work settings and technologies to enhance the flexible work environment at EY, allow for headcount growth, make more effective use of office space, and continue to attract the best talent in Utah.
More than 150 EY professionals are based in the Salt Lake City office, and over 80% of them are millennials. The recent EY Global Generations study on work-life challenges across generations found that flexibility is one of the most important workplace perks among the non-cash/benefits perks. The study underscores that millennials today want flexibility in order to meet their professional and personal goals, as well as a work environment where the space and technology encourage communication, collaboration and creativity.
The firm’s new office features approximately 14,500 square feet of office space and brand new construction including an innovative open layout, more collaboration rooms, tech-enhanced work spaces, a coffee hub with café-style tables, and panoramic views of the Salt Lake City valley and downtown area. Half of all the new workstations and collaboration rooms in the new office offer a sit-to-stand option for professionals who prefer to work at standing desks.

- Work space options are fluid: someone could sit in a virtual collaboration room working with colleagues in other locations and then move to a private room to take a confidential call
