Monotype Font Subscription Service Provides Creative Professionals with Unlimited Access to 10,000 Premium Typefaces for Less than $10 a Month

Monotype Library Subscription Enhances Creative Workflow, Adding Access to Web Fonts and the Ability to Send Fonts to Colleagues, Clients and Partners

WOBURN, Mass.--()--Monotype (NASDAQ: TYPE) today introduced two new features to its Monotype Library Subscription service: access to web fonts and sending capabilities that allow subscribers to share fonts with colleagues, clients and partners. For just $9.99 a month with an annual contract, the Monotype Library Subscription provides creative teams with the freedom and flexibility to try more than 10,000 premium fonts from 2,200 typeface families. It enriches the creative workflow by expanding the palette of fonts that customers have already licensed, acquired from free sources or received standard with third-party creative tools. Designers can now use the Monotype Library Subscription to create beautiful, authentic and impactful campaigns across a variety of mediums.

The Monotype Library Subscription offers access to design classics like the Helvetica and Univers typefaces, branding favorites like the ITC Avant Garde Gothic, Frutiger and Trade Gothic designs and innovative Monotype Studio releases like the Between and Masqualero typefaces. Its easy-to-use interface provides a collaborative and affordable way for creative professionals to explore, access, use and share both desktop and web fonts – across virtually any design environment.

“We’ve built a solution that’s an absolute must-have in any designers’ creative toolkit,” said Brett Zucker, senior vice president of product management and marketing at Monotype. “The Monotype Library Subscription makes premium type accessible to everyone from students to freelance designers to large creative agencies, and helps resolve some of the workflow challenges previously associated with working with fonts – allowing creative teams to work wherever and whenever they are inspired.”

The Monotype Library Subscription: What’s New?
Subscribers now have the ability to use web fonts with up to 250,000 monthly page views. The addition of web fonts ensures that creative teams have a single license that offers the ability to work with the same quality of premium typefaces both online and offline – to design and deliver a consistent brand experience across all channels.

Monotype has also improved collaboration capabilities by allowing subscribers to share fonts with colleagues, clients and partners for up to seven days. This removes barriers and workflow challenges often associated with the creation, editing and approval process for creative campaigns.

What customers are saying:

  • “As a graphic design major I am constantly looking for approved fonts from the school to use that would normally cost thousands of dollars to buy. But with my subscription I get access to so many typefaces to use on projects and it doesn't hurt my pockets. This idea is one of the best I've seen on a legitimate type foundry website.” – Antonio Solano, Industrial Design Engineering student at Northeastern University
  • “The subscription includes several classic, indispensable typefaces that would cost hundreds, even thousands, of dollars to buy outright. And the subscription makes available the entire family of weights and styles unlike other services. The monthly charge is reasonable. Installing the fonts is fast enough and has worked without fail every time. It gives me design capability I couldn't possibly have otherwise.” – Nyoka Hawkins, Publisher, Old Cove Press

The Monotype Library Subscription is available for $9.99 USD per month with an annual commitment, or $14.99 USD with a month-to-month contract.
