Galvanize Collaborates with Pivotal to Launch Cloud Native Essentials Course for Pivotal Cloud Foundry Customers

DENVER--()--Galvanize announced today that it has launched a new ‘Cloud Native Essentials’ blended learning course, built for Pivotal Cloud Foundry® customers. The blended format of the course, which is comprised of part-time online learning and on-site training, allows development teams to continue contributing to their current business projects while elevating their technical knowledge. This unique offering is the first of its kind to target organizations that recognize the need to move to a cloud-native platform - converting applications from monoliths to microservices.

“The curriculum is designed to help Pivotal customers’ existing web development teams achieve digital transformation,” says Jim Deters, CEO of Galvanize. “This course gives developers the technical skills they need to quickly produce software on Pivotal Cloud Foundry to further their organization’s business goals. The program will benefit Pivotal’s customers by reducing the need to recruit, train, and hire new developers during a severe talent shortage.”

"Pivotal's customers have adopted the cloud-native delivery model, but it's a challenge to ensure thousands of employees are always up-to-date with the latest technology,” said Nick Cayou, vice president of Global Alliances at Pivotal. “These new education programs from Galvanize offer developers the fastest path to Pivotal Cloud Foundry and Spring™ proficiency. The world’s largest companies are adopting these cloud-native technologies to build next-generation software while responding to a constantly changing world."

The course will train existing development teams to ship high-quality software faster and in a more agile fashion, utilizing the benefits of a cloud environment to align with business priorities. According to research, when companies focus on training existing talent, organizations experience a boost in morale, engagement and retention within their workforce. For Pivotal customers, these benefits may ultimately lead to improved software that will drive business results and improve competitive advantage.

Course graduates will be equipped with the essential technical skills of Pivotal Cloud Foundry and Spring Boot™; enabling them to apply that knowledge to create microservices and build critical value on a cloud investment. The Galvanize Cloud Native Essentials course can be a stand-alone class or part of a larger Pivotal Cloud Foundry and digital transformation training plan.

Galvanize will schedule sessions, built around client requirements and goals, at client locations or at Galvanize campuses. For more information visit https://new.galvanize.com/enterprise/cne.
