Cadence Capital Management Celebrates 29 Years of Service

Investment Firm Also Announces New Key Additions to Team

BOSTON--()--Cadence Capital Management recently celebrated its 29th anniversary. Delivering customizable global Strategic Beta portfolios to investors, the investment firm based in Boston has seen its investment focus broaden over the past several years from disciplined multi-factor growth equity strategies to an emphasis on a global suite of Strategic Beta equity strategies, including environmental, social and governance (ESG).

In addition to its anniversary milestone, Cadence Capital Management also announced the addition of several new key team members, including:

Austin Kairnes, Portfolio Manager

Mr. Kairnes joins as a portfolio manager on the Beta investment team. Prior to joining Cadence Capital Management, Mr. Kairnes was with QS Investors where he worked on large/mid cap portfolios and an ESG fund. He received his bachelor’s degree from Boston College and a Master of Business Administration degree from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

Sophia Ru, CFA, Analyst

Ms. Ru joins as an analyst on the Beta investment team. Prior to joining Cadence Capital Management, Ms. Ru held a variety of investment roles, most recently at Bank Hottinger. She received her bachelor’s degree from Wuhan University in China, master’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Master of Business Administration degree from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.

Kimberly Voss, Chief Compliance Officer

Ms. Voss joins as chief compliance officer from DG Capital Management, where she held a variety of roles. She has extensive experience with institutional separate accounts, ’40 Act Funds and private funds. Ms. Voss received her bachelor’s degree from Boston University.

Chuck Koeniger, Head of Business Development and Client Service

Mr. Koeniger joins as head of business development and client service. With a long history of investment experience, Mr. Koeniger previously worked with Nuveen Investments, Loomis Sayles, Invesco and State Street Bank. He received his bachelor’s degree from St. Anselm College.

Cadence Capital Management’s Chief Compliance Officer, Bill Bannick, recently retired after 25 years.

Skillman continued, “We are thrilled to welcome Austin, Sophia, Kimberly and Chuck. Their extensive experience and wide-ranging skill sets make them invaluable additions to our team. I would also like to thank Bill for his many years of service. He has been a valued colleague, friend and mentor to all. We wish him the best in his well-deserved retirement.”
