SEATTLE--()--GreaterGood.org, an independent 501(c)(3) charitable organization devoted to improving the health and well-being of people, pets, and the planet, will celebrate 10 years of supporting high-impact nonprofit projects and organizations this September. Over the past decade, GreaterGood.org grew to curate and operate their own impactful Signature Programs, on top of giving over $100 million in cash and product grants to over 3,000 charity partners.

GreaterGood.org’s suite of Signature Programs, along with project partnerships, provide funding focused on its mission to protect people, pets, and the planet.

For its 10 year anniversary, GreaterGood.org is celebrating the following milestones:

  • People
    • Over 500,000,000 cups of food provided directly to those in need to fight world hunger.
    • Over 16,000 mammograms provided to low-income women through its Signature Mammography Program.
    • GROW (Girls’ Right to Opportunity Worldwide), a Signature Program, covered costs for over 260 girls in 10 countries to attend school, as well as safely transported 100 girls to and from school daily in Afghanistan by funding a school bus through the Safe Ride to School program, for girls who were previously attacked by acid, providing over 300,000 safe rides to school thus far.
  • Pets:
    • Over 100 animal shelters renovated through the Signature Program Rescue Rebuild, bettering the lives of nearly 175,000 shelter pets as they wait for forever homes.
    • Over 150,000 vaccinations provided for shelter animals in need in all 50 states through the A Shot At Life Signature Program.
    • Over 200 million pet meals delivered to pets throughout the U.S. through donations and grants made possible through the Signature Program Rescue Bank.
  • Planet:
    • Over 6,000 animal and 8,000 plant observations made on expeditions to the Sky Islands region of Sonora, Mexico, documented through the Signature Program Madrean Discovery Expeditions. An education effort through the program reached over 400 students to inform the community about the area’s fragile ecosystem.
    • Over 31,000 acres of land in Sonora, Mexico, secured through the Signature Program Project Wildcat to protect the majestic jaguar, forming a large safe zone for jaguars and the ultimate source area for the jaguars’ reintroduction into the U.S.
    • Over 1,175,000 acres, through global partnerships, protected spanning 15 countries on five continents. In Mexico alone, more than 109,000 trees planted, specifically benefiting the once endangered Monarch Butterflies.

GreaterGood.org exists to give back to charitable causes with serious impact, and $100 million in charitable giving is truly an incredible feat for our organization and partners,” said GreaterGood.org Executive Director Liz Baker. “This milestone would not be feasible without the dedication and support of our employees, volunteers, and selfless donors.”

In celebration of its 10th Anniversary, GreaterGood.org is encouraging donations of $10 to a charity of one’s choice as part of its #Give10 campaign, launching this April. For each donation, one can see the direct impact of the gift. Each month will highlight multiple Signature Programs, starting with funding girls’ education through Project Amal ou Salam and protecting endangered species through Project Peril.
