NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas--()--Following an outpouring of support from around the world, the First Baptist Church of New Braunfels announced Friday the establishment of a Tragedy Relief Fund to accept donations for the families of the 13 church members killed in a recent bus crash.

Financial donations to the Tragedy Relief Fund can be made online at www.FBCNB.com to help meet a variety of needs of the families affected. Members of the public who want to express their sympathies, volunteer or donate food are encouraged to utilize the Support Message Board on the church's website at www.FBCNB.com.

"People from as far as Norway and Germany have been moved by the Spirit of the Lord to contact our church and offer everything from kind words to financial support," Pastor Brad McLean said. "Any funds we receive will go directly to the families impacted by this unfortunate tragedy."

Media interested in attending Sunday's 10:45 a.m. service will be admitted only in the church’s overflow room, space permitting, but will not be permitted to bring video or still cameras or conduct any interviews on church property. Media must RSVP via email to FirstBaptistChurchNewBraunfels@gmail.com by noon Saturday, April 1 in order to attend.

Access to a professional quality video, audio feed and still photography will be provided to the media following the services. Media wishing to receive the file should email FirstBaptistChurchNewBraunfels@gmail.com or call (830) 428-3517.

"We welcome everyone at First Baptist Church," Pastor McLean said. "But because we are expecting many worshippers to attend on Sunday, we ask that everyone respect the sanctity of the service and the privacy of church members while they are grieving."

Designated parking will be available for media at the lot on Guenther Street, beginning at 9 a.m. Media must enter in the church door on Cross Street in the AMC building. See enclosed map.

A ceremonial AirLIFE helicopter flyover is tentatively scheduled, weather permitting, for immediately following the worship service. Details to follow. The flyover will not be included in the footage from the worship services to be provided to media.
