UnitedHealthcare Donates Hasbro's NERF ENERGY Game Kits to Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida to Encourage Physical Activity

Dr. Eina Fishman, chief medical officer, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Florida, and Bo Outlaw, community ambassador and former player for the Orlando Magic, passed out 150 NERF ENERGY Game Kits to members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida. The kids were led through exercises and basketball drills to test out their new NERF ENERGY Game Kit that tracks activity earning "energy points" in order to play the game. The donation is part of a recently launched national initiative between Hasbro and UnitedHealthcare, featuring Hasbro's NERF products, that encourages young people to become more active through "exergaming." ORLANDO, Fla.--()--UnitedHealthcare delivered 150 NERF ENERGY Game Kits, a limited-release game that tracks physical activity and rewards kids for being active, to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida this afternoon. The donation is part of a recently launched national initiative between Hasbro and UnitedHealthcare, featuring Hasbro’s NERF products, that encourages young people to become more active through “exergaming.”

Throughout 2017, UnitedHealthcare will deliver a total of 10,000 NERF ENERGY Game Kits to elementary schools and community organizations across the country, enabling children ages six to 12 to receive the kits at no cost.
