WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ankura Consulting (Ankura) today announced the appointment of Ted Theisen as Senior Managing Director. Mr. Theisen will practice with the firm’s Risk, Resilience & Geopolitical Group in its Cybersecurity Practice and will be based in Washington, DC.
Ted Theisen brings to Ankura more than 17 years of experience in the information technology industry. He is an experienced practitioner of cyber incident response, information system, and security risk assessments, as well as security services management. He has successfully overseen several rapid-response data breach matters where preservation of evidence, identification of root causes of the breaches, and the exfiltrated, compromised, and exposed intellectual property connected to the breach were paramount.
Prior to his private sector work, he served as a special agent for the FBI where he investigated cyber-related matters, including computer intrusions, cyber counterintelligence, and cyber counterterrorism matters. He also spent a year as Branch Chief of Cyber Integrity for the Executive Office of the President and all other peripheral entities of the White House, where he provided information risk management, information assurance, and eDiscovery leadership.
