KULR Technology to Showcase Latest Carbon Fiber Cooling Solutions In Thermal Interface Material and Heat Capacitor at Semi-Therm 33

Innovative thermal management company will present new solutions at vendor workshop and exhibit March 13-17 in San Jose, California

SAN JOSE, Calif.--()--KULR Technology will debut and demonstrate the versatile applications of its proprietary carbon fiber thermal management material at the leading international conference on academic and industrial advances in electronics thermal management —Semi-Therm 33.

KULR will introduce the line of carbon fiber interface material (FTI) in the gap range of 0.25 mm to 4 mm. FTI consists of a uniquely engineered lightweight carbon fiber core, which offers outstanding physical and thermal properties. Compliance runs as high as 50% and the low contact pressure ranges from 0 to 15 psi. The bulk thermal conductivity is as high as 28 W/K-m, resulting in thermal resistance, R, as low as 0.2 ((K-cm^2)/W).

KULR will also showcase its line of thermal capacitor products based on phase change material (PCM) heat sink technology. These composite heat sinks consist of a conductive carbon fiber velvet impregnated with a suitable paraffin having high latent heat at its melting point. Such heatsinks offer passive thermal control for instruments that would otherwise overheat or undercool during periodic operations.

“We’re very excited to share our latest products with the highly-informed group of experts, innovators and industry leaders at Semi-Therm 33,” said KULR CEO Michael Mo. “Our carbon fiber cooling solutions are based on over 20 years of research and development for space applications where high performance and lightweight are key requirements. They are engineered to solve the thermal challenges of today’s mobile, cloud computing and IoT devices.”

Michael Mo and members of the KULR team will host a vendor workshop to demonstrate the following:

  • Low contact pressure applications
  • Highly flexible interface features and benefits
  • Features and benefits of PCM thermal capacitor
  • Applications of thermal capacitor
  • How to design with thermal capacitor

The vendor workshop time and location is at:

Tuesday, March 14, 2017
3:00PM (Local, Pacific Time)
Semi-Therm 33 - DoubleTree San Jose - Oak/Fir Room
2050 Gateway Pl, San Jose, CA 95110

And throughout the conference (March 13-17, 2017):

Booth #204 - Bayshore Ballroom
Location as above
