Duval and Stachenfeld LLP Hosts First Annual Women’s Real Estate Roundtable

NEW YORK--()--Duval and Stachenfeld LLP hosted their first annual women's real estate roundtable on Thursday, February 2nd. The event featured a panel of respected and established women in the New York real estate world. The panel was moderated by Terri Adler, Real Estate Department Chair, of Duval & Stachenfeld and the panel included Elysa Goldman of Extell Development Company, Mindy Novak of Hudson's Bay Company and Christine Lyndon of Angelo, Gordon & Co.

The panel focused on issues such as what is the outlook for real estate under the new administration, what trends are being seen, and how women in real estate can learn from each other and help one another in their careers. The panel discussion also touched on challenges faced by retailers in the current market and what approach some retailers might take to remain competitive. Terri Adler, moderator of the panel, said about the event, “It was so great to see so many women in the real estate world come together to learn from one another. I think the event really showed how women are a force in the real estate world and are only going to continue to grow within this field.”

The event was co-hosted by Laura Brandt of Women Should Network Too!, a professional women’s networking group she has built over the last few years. The group focuses on helping women in a wide array of professions meet and network with each other in casual, affordable settings. You can join the group by clicking here. Commenting on the event, Laura said, “Women Should Network Too! hit a high note with the Duval & Stachenfeld LLP hosted event on Feb. 2nd. The commercial real estate panel discussion moderated by Terri Adler was not only informative but entertaining. The over 80 ladies in attendance represented various professions and industries and yet all were engaged in the discussion and kept the panel going twice as long as planned based on the extensive Q&A from the audience. The enormous success of the event is 100% due to the efforts of the team at D&S.”

The event came at a pivotal time when we are seeing women take a stand on what their value is in the workplace and how there needs to be more recognition of the importance of women meeting each other and learning from each other’s experiences.
