AGOURA HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Chatsworth Products’ (CPI) intelligent eConnect® Power Distribution Units (PDUs), winner of the 2016 CI&M Innovators Award, have also been awarded a third utility patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. US Patent 9531126 recognises eConnect’s Click Secure Technology, a unique locking outlet design.
Click Secure Technology is available on all eConnect PDUs with IEC outlets. The patent covers the locking design and housing on each outlet. A squeeze-and-release tab allows a plug to be securely inserted and fastened to a PDU without the need for proprietary power cords, which safeguards power and eliminates the cost of additional accessories.
