BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Berkshire Group announced Jon Frey joined the firm as Managing Director. Jon will co-head the newly created Berkshire Business Development area with John Bottomley, also a Managing Director. This new area includes the functions of Client Relations, Communications, Product Development and Strategic Planning.

Prior to joining Berkshire Group, Jon was a Managing Director at The Davis Companies where he headed the Investor Relations division, oversaw a number of the firms early fund investments and was a member of the Investment Committee and Executive Committee. Jon also held real estate investment management roles at Baypoint Group and AEW. Prior to his real estate career Jon spent 10 years as an executive in the technology industry, primarily in the San Francisco Bay area with Sapient Corporation where he worked with both start-ups and established companies to develop internet-based businesses.
