Stratus Video to Present Innovative Language Services and Telehealth Solutions at the 35th Annual J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference

CLEARWATER, Fla.--()--Stratus Video, an industry leading provider of language service and video technology solutions, today announced that Lee Horner, President of the Stratus Telehealth Division, is scheduled to present at the 35th Annual J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference in San Francisco on Wednesday, January 11 at 12:00 noon PST (3:00 p.m. EST). Stratus has been providing the nation’s leading healthcare facilities with technology drive language services solutions for years, and now the technology platform has been expanded into telehealth.

“I am excited to share how Stratus’ proprietary technology platform and unique telehealth solutions help improve the quality and timeliness of care across the healthcare sector,” said Horner. “Stratus is the only company in the industry that provides healthcare professionals with immediate video access to specialists through dynamic call routing, enabling remote conversations anywhere and at any time.”

The Stratus Telehealth Division has been built upon the success of Stratus Language Services. The Stratus Video product functions as a mobile application that connects healthcare providers with signed and spoken language interpreters instantaneously over video with just the push of a button. Stratus launched an InPerson application earlier this year that connects healthcare facilities with local on-site interpreters directly through geolocation. The launch of Stratus InPerson follows its previously announced acquisition in January 2016 of over-the-phone interpretation company, Optimal Phone Interpreters, which positioned Stratus to provide even greater support for both video and audio interpretation.

“Stratus provides a unique value proposition within the healthcare space,” said Chris Michalik, Managing Director of Kinderhook Industries. “Stratus’ leading technology and comprehensive offerings strongly position the Company to capitalize on its market opportunities and reach its next phase of growth.”

“Stratus offers comprehensive language service solutions to clients with video remote interpretation for standard patient interactions, over-the-phone interpretation for languages of lesser-diffusion, and on-site interpretation for lengthy or sensitive conversations,” said David Fetterolf, President of the Stratus Language Services Division. “All of our interpreters are highly qualified and trained by Stratus. Importantly, our full suite of services helps our clients remain compliant with federal regulations surrounding language access.”

Earlier this year, Lee Horner launched the Stratus Telehealth Division, leveraging the Stratus Video technology to connect patients, providers, and specialists remotely from anywhere at any time.

“Most telehealth services you hear about today involve A to B conversations,” continued Horner. “But what if a doctor needs to immediately find a neurology specialist because an emergency room patient is having a stroke? Even worse, what if their patient does not speak English? Stratus Telehealth offerings help solve these emergencies by using intelligent call routing and the workflow of hospitals and healthcare systems to allow ER medical staff to immediately connect with specialists – even reaching them at home on their own devices – and can include up to six parties in video calls, including language interpreters.”

“We are leveraging and expanding the technology build for Stratus Video to improve care for every patient,” explained Horner. “I am eager to share more details about our game-changing capabilities in our presentation.”
