Andersen Tax D.C. Promotes State & Local Tax Lead, Van Enger

WASHINGTON--()--Andersen Tax announces the promotion of Parvin J. Van Enger to Managing Director in the Washington, D.C. office. Parvin, who leads the State and Local Tax practice in Washington, D.C., joins a team of six Managing Directors who practice in the areas of private client services, investment consulting, valuation and commercial tax.

Parvin has spent over 17 years focused on advising clients on complex state and local tax matters. She has extensive experience assisting clients with tax audit defense, negotiating voluntary disclosure agreements, nexus determination, apportionment planning, mergers and acquisitions, refund claims, and credits and incentives. Her expertise covers a wide range of state and local taxes, including sales & use, gross receipts, income / franchise, and personal property. Parvin’s diverse client base includes renewable energy, retail, wholesale, service based, government contracting, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, software, technology, and telecommunications.

Parvin received a BS in Accounting from George Mason University and an MS in Taxation from Northeastern University. She is a member of the Accounting Advisory Council for the School of Business at George Mason University.

Andersen Tax now has 143 Managing Directors in 19 locations in the U.S., and an international presence in Europe and Latin America through Andersen Global. Overall the firm is promoting nine Managing Directors, four in San Francisco and one each in Seattle, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Houston, and US National Tax.
