MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--To support health care professionals in achieving excellence for their patients and organizations, Creative Health Care Management (CHCM) hosts its 2017 International Relationship-Based Care Symposium. Through workshops and sessions, attendees will identify strategies to improve interprofessional collaboration, and learn practical tools and actions to achieve committed partnerships, cross-departmental teamwork and cultural transformation.
The three-day event runs June 20-22, 2017, in Minneapolis, and brings together experts in compassionate care, leadership and organizational development. Attendees will network with an international community of health care leaders who are transforming the way health care is provided, and leave inspired to further their commitment to achieve excellence in health care. Keynote speakers include Hearts in Healthcare’s Robin Youngson, and David Cooperrider, a pioneer of the Appreciative Inquiry methodology for organizational change.
“This year’s symposium focuses on From Silos to Synergy, to celebrate the power that interprofessional and cross-organizational collaboration can have on creating high-performing and successful health care cultures,” said Mary Koloroutis, CEO of CHCM. “Caring for others on the health care team is one pillar of relationship-based care, and attendees will explore how they can change their organization’s culture through this framework.”
Extend your learning with unique pre- and post-conference sessions, and continuing education credits are available. To honor achievements in the field, poster abstracts are being accepted through Dec. 31, 2016. Submissions should focus on projects related to interprofessional collaboration that strengthens and inspires high-quality care.
CHCM has a proud history of transforming the cultures of health care organizations into environments where people are consistently treated with respect and their dignity is preserved. To help further achieve this goal, CHCM will release a new book, “Advancing Relationship-Based Cultures,” in spring 2017.
