Registration Opens for IEEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Conference May 22-23, 2017

Women engineers collaborate and discuss entrepreneurship, disruptive technology, innovation and leadership

PISCATAWAY, N.J.--()--IEEE, the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity, announced today that the 2017 IEEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Conference (WIE ILC) and registration has opened for attendees, corporate and media partnerships. The conference will to be held at the San Jose Convention Center, 22-23 May 2017.

WIE ILC celebrates the vibrant and diverse community of women scientists and engineers by providing an opportunity to collaborate and create communities that fuel innovation. WIE ILC focuses on providing invaluable professional development for mid-level and senior women, and is supported by sponsors such VMware, Verizon, Ericsson and Intel. Partnering organizations have the ability to showcase their leading-edge technology, and media partners will have access to speakers sharing their innovative, diverse stories about their leadership and experience.

The conference has a theme of “Lead Beyond – Accelerating Women Who Change the World.” The two-day event brings together distinguished thought leaders from various science, technology, engineering, and mathematical (STEM) backgrounds to focus on current skills and strategic developments building upon women’s advancement and entrepreneurship. A varied conference program is being planned, including an international pitch session, hands-on leadership workshops and think tank focused on women in STEM.

Maria Klawe, President of Harvey Mudd College and Sallie L. Krawcheck, CEO and Co-Founder of Ellevest will be two of the 2017 keynote speakers.
